Allison and Jamie Yancy are two of the most recognizable names in the Montgomery County area and have established themselves as two of the most successful realtors in the last decade.  Beginning their career with one of the nationally known firms the husband and wife duo quickly recognized that buyers and sellers were looking for good, honest, hometown knowledge and were not lured by some of the sales techniques that the bigger firms use.  “We found our clients don’t like to be SOLD, they like to be informed”, states Allison.  The bigger firms had a hard time adjusting to changes in the economy and the market and many were behind the times with new technology available to help gather information and attract buyers looking for homes and areas to relocate.   The two made the biggest name for themselves by introducing some of the most innovative and friendliest web sites in the area.  Allison and Jamie Yancy have been featured in nearly all area publications covering real estate in the Houston market including the Houston Business Journal every year for the past 6 years and H Texas magazine.  

More About Allison

 Allison grew up just a few miles from The Woodlands and Lake Conroe and has been a resident of Montgomery County, Texas most of her life. After graduating high school she followed her dreams in pursuing a music career in country music and lived in Florida, Chicago, and California for a short time before returning back to her roots of the small town life she loved so much. She worked for the Boy Scouts of America after returning to the Houston area before accepting a position as an office manager in the medical industry. Those years working with sick patients on a daily basis and helping them is one of the main reasons she is successful with her own company today. While working in the medical field and singing part time she met her husband Jamie who encouraged her to get a real estate license and try selling a few homes since she enjoyed helping people so much.  She agreed and began classes all while working two jobs including one as a leasing agent at an apartment complex on weekends.  “It was a lot of long hours and a difficult time – but I wouldn’t change a thing looking back today, she states.  With the help of her husband they created a small magazine targeted to potential home buyers looking to relocate to the area and delivered them at night to local restaurants and businesses. That $700 investment in printing a small magazine exploded into what has become one of the top selling boutique brokerage firms in the 4th largest city in the U.S. and what American dreams are made of. The profits made from the sales of homes through the publication were quickly spent on developing the area’s first web site that contained all of the area’s listings for sale regardless of the firm that held the listing.  “It was very controversial and groundbreaking at that time, now it’s something that everybody has to offer to be competitive,” Allison replies. Still with all of the success Allison is easily approachable and just as down to earth as the day she started.  

Never afraid to try something different when it comes to marketing a client’s property for sale she is relentless in her pursuit for a buyer for each listing - and a perfectionist.  Allison has been recognized by the Houston Association of Realtors as a Top Producing Agent for the last 8 years and been recognized by HAR over 40 times for her outstanding sales production and ability to market and sell homes faster than other agents in the area. Even other licensed realtors and brokers have called on Allison to list and sell their property because of the reputation for success she has established.  When she is not selling homes she likes spending time outside the office with her husband and being a mom to her three children. She enjoys helping others and volunteers for many activities with the kids and at their schools. A country girl through and through Allison enjoys fishing, hunting, sports, kids, and anything outdoors.

More About Jamie

Jamie grew up on the Texas / Louisiana border in a small town near the shores of Caddo Lake. While attending college at Louisiana Tech University Jamie worked for a local independent real estate broker refurbishing rental properties and doing yard maintenance. "Little did I know I was starting my real estate career by pulling up worn out shag carpets and repainting old houses so they could be rented to college students" he explains. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University he graduated with an English degree and a minor in Business in the Spring of 1994. He began with a position with State Farm Insurance Company selling and servicing insurance policies in the small town he grew up in. He learned how important it was to treat people fairly and honestly when you own a business and operate in a small town. A sales opportunity to join a start-up biotech chemical company came along and he jumped at the chance to travel throughout the U.S. and meet new people. After more than a decade and thousands of miles of travel he met Allison one night after returning from a business trip. He encouraged her to look into selling real estate and the two became inseparable in their journey together which included starting one of the area’s most successful real estate companies.   Jamie has been one of the top selling real estate agents in Houston since 2006 and has even at times been the top selling Realtor in all of Houston.  “I really enjoy helping educate clients about the area and I want my clients to feel comfortable about purchasing and to be the most informed buyer in the market place.  My father was a teacher and I have found my clients really appreciate the local knowledge and information I am willing to share.  Clients can pretty much as me anything when we are looking in neighborhoods and at homes” Jamie states. I like to help relieve the stress out of relocating and making a large purchase that most people experience when buying a home.  I also like making new friends many who have become some of my best and lifelong friends after the move. When he is not showing homes he like to be outdoors and spending time with his family.
